Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Amy Smart was born in California and grew up in California But she began the modeling profession in Italy. In 1996 when she first made her appearance, she appeared as an actor in a TV film titled 'Her Costly Affair.' From there to starring in a small role in the movie "Starship Troopers," she had a very difficult time. Amy was unable to make the shift from modeling to acting since models are typically not thought of as actors. They were often granted small, non-important roles. Amy didn't give up, and eventually she landed bigger roles, beginning with the television series "The 70's" and the feature film "Varsity Blues". Amy then stepped into main roles for the romantic comedy film 'Just friends in which she was also joined by Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts throughout the past 10 years.
